A.I. in K-12
Partnering with school leaders to responsibly integrate AI and prepare students for future success

A.I. isn’t a product you can buy or a curriculum you can adopt.

Rather, it’s a collection of tools and practices that can touch every part of the educational experience from lesson planning and transportation routing, to content creation and communications. Equally important, A.I. opens the door to a whole new way of teaching, learning, and even running a district.

With so much potential, it’s easy to lose focus chasing the latest tool without addressing fairness, safety, or long-term goals. We have developed a framework to help districts avoid those pitfalls by organizing A.I. efforts across four key domains: Teaching and Learning, Strategy and Leadership, Technical Operations, Administrative Efficiencies.
Our Framework for District Capabilities in A.I.
This framework isn’t just a checklist; it’s a model to keep districts focused on what matters: great teaching, empowered students, and the systems that support them. When leaders define the capabilities they need, the path forward stops looking like a guessing game and starts looking like a plan.

How thru Can Help
We work with school districts to assess their current use of A.I. in both learning and central operations and to develop a clear roadmap that positions the district as a leader within its community. Our engagements begin with a focused assessment period, followed by a collaborative process to co-develop the roadmap and associated initiatives. This process typically takes about two months from project kick-off to the final presentation.
In addition, we provide a range of A.I. advisory services. For example, we are currently working with New York City Public Schools and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York to streamline administrative workflows associated with due process and impartial hearings. By leveraging intelligent document processing (a specialized form of A.I.), the department has the opportunity to shorten processing times for monitoring the timeliness of services provided to special education students.
A.I. is not coming; it’s already here. And while the headlines may shift, the underlying opportunity remains: AI can make your district more responsive, more equitable, and more human-centered.
